ANSTO is one of Australia's foremost scientific research and development
organisations, focused on delivering the benefits of nuclear science to
the Australian community.
The Bragg Institute is an international leader in Neutron Beam and X-ray
Science, recognised for the excellence of its scientific endeavors, its
facilities, its techniques and its people. At ANSTO, the centerpiece of
our activities is the OPAL research reactor, and along with the Bragg
Institute's state-of-the-art neutron-beam instruments, places Australia
at the leading edge of neutron scattering and X-ray techniques to solve
complex research and industrial problems in many important fields.
We are currently undertaking the Major Capital Works programs to deliver
new cutting-edge neutron beam instruments for the Bragg Institute. We
are seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer to design and develop Data
Acquisition Electronics (DAE) products as part of this exciting
expansion. This leadership position steers a group of engineers,
technicians and other external resources to provide detectors, data
acquisition hardware and software instrument control for neutron beam
instrumentations at OPAL.
The successful applicant will have extensive experience in electronic
engineering of data acquisition systems using FPGA and or ASIC based
hardware, and detailed knowledge of the design, specification,
procurement, assembly, testing and installation and commissioning of
designs. Given the leadership responsibilities of this position, to be
successful, you must have demonstrated experience as a senior member of
a multi-disciplinary team.
You will have proven problem solving ability in delivering creative and
systematic solutions, and solid technical analytical, computing skills
and experience.
