[NOBUGS] Call for Nominations: Bill Pulford Prize – NOBUGS 2026

Dear NOBUGS Community,

We are pleased to invite nominations for the Bill Pulford Prize at NOBUGS 2026. The prize honors Bill Pulford, one of the founders of NOBUGS, and recognizes scientific software developed within our community that combines significant impact on the NOBUGS community with a very low number of bugs.

To nominate a software package or project, please send me (nschwarz at anl.gov) a brief proposal (approximately one page) that includes:


  *
A description of the software and its impact on the NOBUGS community.
  *
An explanation of its reliability and low number of bugs.
  *
A link to its source-code repository.

The NOBUGS International Advisory Committee (IAC) will review the nominations and select the award recipient.
