[NOBUGS] New Release of Mantid 2.5 May 2013

Hello,

We are pleased to release Mantid v2.5. This major release of Mantid has focussed on improvements to support single crystal diffraction and multi-dimensional visualisation, this has not however prevented us delivering a wide range of other improvements and new features.  This release also marks the start of the retirement process for version 1 of the python API<http://www.mantidproject.org/ReleaseNotes_2_5_Framework_Changes#Retirement_of_Mantid_Python_v1>.

The new version is now available in the download area http://download.mantidproject.org

For VATES users who have previously installed Paraview
In order to use the new visualisation tools in this release, you must update you version of ParaView. Please take installers for the 3.98.1 release of ParaView from here<http://download.mantidproject.org/VatesDownload.psp>. If you were previously using Paraview 3.10.1, and do not update to the new version of ParaView, the 3D visualisation tool additions will be disabled. For windows users, instructions on how to update Mantid to work with new ParaView are here<http://www.mantidproject.org/Paraview_setup>.
