<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">The 2017 Smoky Mountains Computational Sciences and Engineering Conference (SMC17) is currently accepting teams to participate in its first-ever Data Challenge.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">This contest is open to students, faculty, lab scientists and industry professionals who are interested in performing novel analysis on real scientific data sets. Teams of one to four people may participate,
and each team will be in a student/novice or non-student/advanced category. Once the challenges are complete, the top two teams, a student/novice team and non-student/advanced team, from each challenge will be invited to attend SMC17, where they will present
their work, and the winner from each category will be crowned.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">The Challenge is open from June 1 to July 31 (submissions are due by 5:00 p.m. Eastern on July 31).<o:p></o:p></span></p>
