Last year, I created a LiveDVD including some of our <a
href="http://www.ill.eu/instruments-support/computing-for-science/home/">ILL/Computing
for Science</a> software, as well as many other scientific
software related to neutron scattering:<br>

<div align="center">LAMP, nMoldyn, McStas, Matlab MFit/MView and
GRASP, FullProf, vTAS, ResTrax and SimRes, looktxt, idl2matlab, <b>DAVE</b>,
<b>Mantid</b>, <b>SASfit</b>, NeXus, AbInit, Ghemical/Gromacs,
ParaView and more...<br>

<br>
This DVD is bootable. It contains a <a href="http://www.ubuntu.com">Ubuntu</a>
10.04 system with pre-installed applications. You may just<br>
run it without touching the current computer hard disk. You may also
install it (with all software) on a<br>
30 Gb+ disk. The Ubuntu system runs on all machines, including Apple
ones. The CPU needs to<br>
support 64bit architecture (will not run on some netbooks and older
machines).<br>

<b>USE the DVD</b>: reboot with DVD in, login as 'cs_guest' without
password. NOTE. Remember to change the Proxy settings if you are
outside the ILL<br>
<b>INSTALL the DVD</b>: requires a 30GB+ partition. Be cautious not
to erase existing systems/data !<br>
