ANSTO is the national organisation for nuclear science and technology.
We focus on undertaking leading edge research, delivering innovative
scientific services and providing specialised advice to government,
industry, academia and other research organisations. 
 
Bragg Institute is an international leader in Neutron Beam and X-ray
Science, recognised for the excellence of its scientific endeavours, its
facilities, its techniques and its people. The Bragg Institute was set
up in 2002, with the explicit intent of fostering strong interactions
with academic and commercial research organizations both within
Australia and overseas.  
 
We are currently looking for a Data Acquisition Engineer to join our
team.  Reporting to the Detector Specialist you will deliver high
performance data acquisition electronics and software for the neutron
beam instruments, through the engineering lifecycle - design,
manufacture, procurement, installation, commissioning and maintenance.
To be successful in this role you will have a degree in a relative
discipline with extensive experience in developing real-time data
acquisition systems, with experience in design and configuration of FPGA
based hardware, PCI device drivers and histogramming software.
 
Your experience in C and C++ applications using software development
methodologies e.g. agile along with your experience in programmatic
control of all types of scientific devices will help you succeed in this
role.
